IMPORTANT UPDATE: Beginning October 1, 2023, An eVisa will be required to enter Brazil if you are a traveler from the United States.
Great news! Now it will be much easier for all travelers from the United States to travel to Brazil!
The Brazilian government announced that effective June 17, 2019, a visitor visa (electronic or paper) will not be required for U.S. citizens to travel to Brazil for the purposes of tourism, business, transit and artistic and sportive activities, for stays of up to 90 days.
If you intend to travel to Brazil under these purposes before June 17, 2019, you will still need to obtain a visitor visa as per current requirements for U.S. citizens traveling to Brazil.
